Yan Ying, the minister of Qi, came to visit their neighboring country Lu. One morning, a porkling was prepared for his breakfast. Yan said to his servant: "please stored the trotters". When he began to have lunch, however, he could not find the trotters. The servant told him: "trotters were stolen." Yan said : "foget it." The servant said: "I know who did that." Yan said: "stop it. I heart that if the people were encouraged by their achievement rather than their hard work, the government may lose people's feelings and esteem; moreover, if the preservations were thought high of the surplus, people would like to steal. My tutor taught me to notice it but not let me to find that man."
