National College Entrance Examination = NCCE

NCCE is the prerequisite for entrance into almost all higher education institutions at the undergraduate level. Since most of the higher education institutions, especially these good ones, are funded and managed by the central and local goverments, in order to get enrolled in these schools, you need to qualify yourself by scoreing a certain required marks by different schools. In this case, most of China's students have to go through a rough path preparing for the Exam and to compete for the limited quota among 9 million candidates.

The challenging exam itself and the burdensome long preparation serves as a rite of growing-up for these teenagers.

However, with the rising of private higher education institutions and the surging numbers of students looking for education abroad, more and more students find their paths beside the path which he/she has to go through the tough NCCE gate. And very often, they found these paths even more beatiful.

Whatever path you take for higher education, the ultimate nature of higher education is to get trained and enlighted for a future career and life, and eventually to create value for the family, community and society. I welcome the fact and trend that more students have the possibilities to choose the path he/she loves and the path which would lead to a good career, better life, and most important, a perfecter PERSON.
